2018 U.S. Senior Women's Open Championship

July 12-15: The inaugural U.S. Senior Women’s Open Championship will fittingly debut at Chicago Golf Club in Wheaton, Ill. Chicago Golf Club is one of the five founding clubs of the USGA and is the oldest golf club in the U.S. continually operating in the same location. The club was founded in 1893 by Charles Blair Macdonald, who went on to win the inaugural U.S. Amateur Championship in 1895. The original course was renovated by Seth Raynor in 1923 and remains largely unchanged. This will be the club’s 12th USGA championship and first since the 2005 Walker Cup Match. Before the 2005 Walker Cup, the most recent USGA championship at the club was the 1979 U.S. Senior Amateur. Fast Fact: John J. McDermott won the 1911 U.S. Open at Chicago Golf Club to become the first American-born U.S. Open champion.
